Starting yesterday many of the people started asking how to update their
phones or expressed disappointment that their phone has not showing this iOS
14 update.
List of phones which get iOS 14:
When it comes to OS updates, nothing can beat Apple. I am super impressed. A
phone that is 6 years old is also getting latest iOS 14 release. How cool it
is? Big Thumbs up to Apple 👍 Any device which released along with 6S and
after are eligible/supported to get iOS 14.

Apple OS Build Types:
To continue further, we need to first understand Apple's OS build types. Apple
release 3 types of builds.
1. Developer Beta
2. Public Beta
3. Public Release
It is same for most of the other company say Google Android too. But Google
release the builds as a package and any user with supported device can
directly head to Android site and download the package and install it to test.
However, Apple follows profile based updates. To get developer Beta builds of
iOS, you should have a developer profile. To get this profile, you need to
register with Apple that you are developer of Apple App ecosystem.
Of course, there is a shortcut too. But before proceeding make a note that I
am not responsible if you lose your data. It is always suggested to take
backup of your phone. Now that you have done it, follow the below steps.
Installation Steps:
1. Head over to www.betaprofiles.com using Safari browser.
2. Now scrolldown to see iOS 14 download section and download the iOS beta
profile.
3. Click on Allow when prompted and the profile will be installed on your
iPhone. Note that if you use any other browser other than Safari, it will
not work.
4. Now goto settings on your iPhone and you will see profile installed
notification. Sometimes your device may restart after installing the profile.
5. Now goto General -> Software Update, you will iOS 14.0 developer beta
update.
6. Download it and install and enjoy.
Note: Developer builds are not meant for daily usage and most of the
time they have bugs. According to Apple timeline, public Beta of iOS 14.0 will
be released by mid July. I suggest you wait for Public Beta if your phone is
your primary mobile.
